Dr. Alan Chan is a Professor of Economics and Business Administration at Crandall University. He received a B.Sci (Hons) and M.A. (Economics) from the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. (Economics) from the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Chan joined the Faculty of Business Administration in 2005.
Alan’s research is focused on economics modelling and the economics analysis of religion. He has published in prestigious journals, including the Journal of Macroeconomics and the Interdisciplinary Journal of Research on Religion.
Alan is currently working on projects related to the Canadian Summer Job Program and Religious behaviours.
Notable among his credentials are receiving the Canada Scholarship, and multiple SSHRC contracts for RDC access, publishing in disciple-leading journals, and serving on the Atlantic Canada Economics Association. He has also taught at the University of Western Ontario, the University of New Brunswick (Fredericton), the University de Moncton, and Mount Alison University.
