IP6113 Managing Organizational Behaviour

This course covers theories and applications dealing with such topics as organizational change, decision-making, team dynamics, conflict management, and leadership. Students can discover and apply concepts to both explain and influence how people and their organizations work.
IP6119 Internship
Credit hours: 9
This internship will provide students with full-time career related employment for a minimum of 12 weeks. Interns apply business theories and concepts studied in the classroom in meaningful work situations and build on professional development skills.
Prerequisite: Students must have completed all other required courses in the program before taking this course.
Note: Students must have established a minimum A- (3.67) average by the end of the second semester of study to qualify for an Internship.
IP6123 Human Resource Management
Credit hours: 3
This course introduces students to the principles, policies, and practices related to human resources in today’s workforce. It is intended for individuals interested in management positions.
IP6129 Applied Research Project
Credit hours: 9
This one-semester course is designed to give students the opportunity to apply knowledge learned in the courses in the Master of Management Program. It is an applied research approach to solving a management related issue in an organization.
Prerequisite: Students must have completed all other required courses in the program of study before taking this course.
IP6133 Managerial Economics
Credit hours: 3
This course introduces students to the global economic environment and the part managers play in understanding it and using it in making decisions. It covers such topics as economic environmental threats and opportunities for managers in a fast-paced business environment.
IP6143 Managerial Ethics and Decision Making
Credit hours: 3
This course explores the concept of decision-making through an ethical lens. It argues that every decision has ethical implications, including economic, social, and environmental.
IP6153 Managing Diversity in Organizations
Credit hours: 3
This course explores the complexities of managing today’s diverse workforce, including the importance of understanding the role that culture and the law play in human resource management and organizational behaviour.
IP6163 Managing Organizational Change

This course is to provide students with an understanding of the role that leadership plays in navigating change within an organization. The course will include topics on leadership, vision, communication, culture, and strategy.
IP6173 International Business Management
Credit hours: 3
This course introduces students to the impact of globalism and globalization on business. Students will be provided with the analytical tools of global business research and analysis.
IP6183 Managing Leadership in Organizations
Credit hours: 3
In this course, students will have the opportunity to develop an understanding of the function and importance of leadership, including the different styles of leadership in organizations, by examining real-life case scenarios.

IP6193 Strategic Management
Credit hours: 3
The overall goal of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the important role that “strategy” holds in an organization, and how effective strategic management can provide a competitive advantage for organizations.
