The William Carey Global Scholarship

    The William Carey Global Scholarship was established to provide financial support to undergraduate students from outside Canada and United States who demonstrate their love and faith in Jesus Christ. International students who meet the criteria to successfully enroll in Crandall University’s Bachelor Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts & Science, or Bachelor of Business Administration programs are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

    Successful applicants may be awarded up to $18,000 CAD per year off of their tuition and fees, renewable for up to four (4) years.

    Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

    • Meet the admissions requirements for the qualifying undergraduate program of their choice at Crandall University;
    • Be between the ages of 18 and 23;
    • Have citizenship outside of Canada or the United States;
    • Meet English language proficiency requirements;
    • Demonstrate their commitment to the Christian faith;
    • Obtain a valid study permit.

    To be considered for the William Carey Global Scholarship, applicants must be able to demonstrate their commitment to the Christian faith. As part of your application for this scholarship, you are asked to submit a 500-750 word essay demonstrating your desire to study at Crandall University, your faith journey, and the importance of integrating faith and learning.

    Please provide 2 reference letters with your application describing your commitment to the Christian faith. These letters should be from your church leaders, denominational leaders, or educational leaders.

    Essays and reference letters may be submitted with the application form below, or they may be submitted by email to David Cook, Director of Financial Awards.

    Recipients of the William Carey Global Scholarship will be awarded up to $18,000 CAD per academic year toward tuition and housing costs. The scholarship is renewable for up to four (4) years, or the completion of their chosen program, whichever comes first. Recipients must live on campus and carry a full-time course load (defined as a minimum of 12 credit hours per term). Some modifications may be possible for eligible students who are unable to live on campus due to extenuating circumstances. The amount of the scholarship will be deducted from the student’s overall finance statement, and cannot exceed the total of the student’s tuition and fees. There is no cash value. Additional terms and conditions may apply.

    There are a limited number of scholarships available. A selection committee will award the scholarships based on applications.
