Deferring Enrollment

In light of the current global pandemic, we know that many of our international students have had their plans to study at Crandall University impacted. As a result, Crandall University has modified our deferral policies for our international applicants.

Graduate Students

Those who have been accepted into a Graduate program but are unable to attend the upcoming intake may be eligible for a deferral into the next start date. Crandall University offers start dates for Graduate programs in September, January, and May.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students whose program is not offered online will have a one-time opportunity to defer their application to the next academic year (Sept. 2021). A tuition deposit is preferred, but at this time not required for deferral of an undergraduate program.

The deferred applicant’s status will be re-instated, and no application fee will be requested. Fall 2021 applications are being processed for undergraduate programs beginning November 2, 2020.

Deferral Request Deadlines

Please note: Once a student has begun their program, they are only eligible to defer if their visa application has been rejected and they are choosing to reapply.

Deadline Dates

January 30, 2021

Undergraduate Students must inform Crandall University that they want their application deferred to the September 2021 intake. If your request is not received before this deadline, your application will be cancelled.

March 15, 2021

Students without AIP or Permits, but who have applied for their visa may enroll in online classes for the May intake if spaces are available.

April 30, 2021

Graduate Students choosing to defer their offer to the September 2021 intake must do so by this date. Students must have a minimum payment of $8,500 in order to defer. If your request is not received before this deadline, your application will be cancelled.

Refund Request

Applicants who have received a study permit rejection are eligible to apply for a full tuition refund. Please complete the International Student Refund Request form and return to international@crandallu.ca.
