The best way to see all that Crandall University has to offer is to come for a campus tour. We can also customize a campus tour to your specific interests.
At Crandall University, we are incredibly thankful to be a small university in one of the least-affected parts of the world during a global pandemic.
We have adapted our campus and classrooms to offer the majority of classes in person, and have worked hard to provide a student experience that is safe and supportive, all while meeting (or exceeding) the public health and safety guidelines established by our governments.
There is one requirement, however, that has proven to be both crucial to public safety and incredibly challenging for those entering our province: 14 days of self-isolation.
For students coming from outside of the Atlantic Provinces (including those coming from outside Canada), this 14-day period is a significant stressor – these students are leaving behind friends and family, even culture and climate! While we are working with those students to ensure their needs are met, there’s no question that isolation of any kind is difficult for anyone to navigate.
It is in that spirit that we want to offer these students an extra bit of care and encouragement.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to partner with us in an initiative to care for our self-isolating students. We are putting together care packages as a way to provide some extra encouragement during those 14 days, and we would truly appreciate your support in putting them together.
As we look ahead to our winter term, we expect a number of new students who will need to self-isolate upon arrival, but we are also aware that some of our current students are wrestling with the decision to go home and visit their families over the Christmas break because of the need to self-isolate when returning for classes in January.
On December 1, 2020, your donation can help us offer these students the kind of encouragement to help ease the strain of this important public safety measure. We have an ambitious goal of raising $5,000 to go toward preparing these care packages, and we would truly appreciate your support.
On Giving Tuesday, will you help us care for Crandall students while they self-isolate?
On December 1, 2020, you can help us raise $5,000 to support self-isolating students by giving online or by eTransfer.
