Giving FAQ

    How can I help Crandall University?

    There are many ways that you can partner with Crandall University in transforming lives through “quality Christian education firmly rooted in the Christian faith”.

    • Make an annual gift (any gift regardless of its size is significant)
    • Help recruit future Crandall students; encourage prospective students to visit the university, or bring them yourself
    • Mentor current students
    • Hire Crandall graduates
    • Establish an endowed or annual scholarship
    • Attend Crandall events
    • Promote the University; speak highly of the University
    • Remember Crandall in your will or estate plan
    • Volunteer your time

    How do I give a gift?

    Gifts can be given in person, online, via phone or mail using cash, cheque or credit card.  Please visit our donation page for more information.

    Can I give monthly?

    Absolutely. Many donors find that regular monthly gifts are a convenient way to support Crandall. For more information, or to set up your own monthly gift, visit our Donate page or contact our Development Office at 1-506-858-8970 ext. 134.

    What is the difference between annual giving, capital gifts, and bequests?

    Your annual financial gift supports the university budget, strengthens the programs and enables the university to remain competitive in terms of tuition.

    capital gift will help enable growth and expansion on the University and its mission.

    bequest allows you to use all of your assets during your lifetime and leave a portion of them to the University at the time of your death. You can give a specific asset or amount, or a percentage of your estate.

    Can I decide where my gift will be spent?

    We would love to discuss a designated gift with you! We have a number of funds that you can give to for special projects – contact our Development Office at 1-506-858-8970 Ext. 134 to learn more or to set up an appointment.

    Will my company match my gift?

    Many companies encourage charitable contributions by matching charitable gifts made by their employees. Please contact your employer to determine if they will match your charitable gift to Crandall University.

    Is my gift tax deductible?

    Yes. Crandall University is a recognized non-profit organization with charitable status. We therefore receive tax-deductible charitable donations, and issue tax receipts for these donations.

    Crandall University is a recognized non-profit organization with charitable business number 106736150 RR0001.

    Who do I call if I have a question?

    If you have any questions, please contact the Development Office and we will do our best to assist you.

    Can I make an anonymous gift? Will I still receive a tax receipt?

    Anonymous donors must list their personal information for tax receipt purposes, but that information remains confidential within the Development Office.

    Can I consolidate my receipts into one annual receipt?

    If you donate regularly to Crandall University, you can consolidate your receipts and receive ONE official tax receipt at the end of the year. A consolidated receipt will list all the donations you made during the year and will be sent to you in time for tax season!  If you would like more information or to consolidate your tax receipt, please contact the Development Office; we would be happy to assist you.
