Dear Crandall Community,
Since our last communication, the Presidential Search Committee (PSC) has participated in a succession workshop led by Nelson/Kraft and Associates, a Canadian Executive Search Firm specializing in mission fit candidate searches. The Crandall University Board as well as the Crandall University Vice Presidents joined the PSC for portions of this workshop.
The purpose of this gathering was to help navigate the PSC through the initial three stages of a Presidential Search:
A number of excellent questions were considered in regard to our current context, such as:
These questions led the group to identify seven defining realities. While no conclusions were drawn, the PSC and the Crandall University Board spent a significant amount of time discussing the pros and cons of an internal versus an external search process. The PSC looks forward to receiving the final report summarizing the key takeaways from the two-day succession workshop in order to finalize our next steps.
As always, we welcome your prayers during this important time of transition, and we will continue to update you regularly. Your input is valued, therefore, if you have any questions or suggestions, please reach out to your representative on this Presidential Search Committee. Thank you!
Sincerely,
David Morehouse (PSC Chair)
