Dr. Sam Reimer Awarded $55K Research Grant

Dr. Sam Reimer, PhD, Professor of Sociology, has received a $55,000 USD research grant from the Louisville Institute to support his research leave in 2027.

“The Grant for Researchers from Louisville Institute is to support my anticipated research leave in 2027,” said Reimer. “I plan to work with the Canadian Institute for Empirical Church Research (CIECR) at Wycliffe College (University of Toronto) to complete the first ever representative study of churches in Canada.”

During his leave, Dr. Reimer will collaborate with the Canadian Institute for Empirical Church Research at Wycliffe College, an affiliated college of the University of Toronto. The project aims to produce the first nationally representative data on churches in Canada, offering new insight into congregational life across the country.

The university congratulates Dr. Reimer on this achievement and looks forward to the impact of his research.
