Crandall University Celebrates Inaugural Graduate Studies Dean’s Honour Roll Networking Mixer in Saint John

Crandall University’s Graduate Studies Division hosted its inaugural Dean’s Honour Roll Networking Mixer on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Top of the Town Social Room, Crowne Plaza Harbourview in Saint John, NB. The event brought together 18 exceptional students from Crandall’s Master of Management (MM) and Master of Organizational Management (MOrgM) programs, connecting them directly with employers and community members from Saint John and surrounding regions.

Representatives from leading regional organizations—including Xerox Corporation, Horizon Health Network, The Chamber Saint John Region, Envision Saint John, YMCA of Southwestern NB, Real Consulting, Crosby Foods, HOP Performance Institute, and RST Sunbury Transport—generously participated in the evening’s dynamic speed-networking rounds and engaging informal discussions. We commend these organizations for their outstanding support of Crandall University’s educational mission and their commitment to nurturing the next generation of professionals and leaders.

Eighteen exceptional students carefully handpicked through an additional competitive selection from the broader inaugural 2024–25 Dean’s Honour Roll, earned the privilege to participate in the exclusive networking mixer. Representing the highest academic achievers across each eligible cohort, the honoured students were: Aastha Sharma, AlexEduardo Herra Chavez, Ayanna Stephens, Catalina Maria Ortiz Rodriguez, Evelyn Davalos, Giulianna Barahona Rodriguez, Gloria Sarfo, Joel Mensah-Ackman, MaryAnn Boaten, Melroy Barboza, Mohammad Aamir Anis, Mohammedasif Memon, Nikiruka Victoria Etoniru, Omorovbiye Ruth Okanlawon, Opeyemi Esther Kayode, Osazele Momoh, Raphael Denedo, and Shamuke Ogoliegbune.

The Dean’s Honour Roll Networking Mixer advanced Crandall University’s mission by highlighting the exceptional calibre of its graduate programs and students while forging stronger relationships with regional industry partners. The event empowered students by providing meaningful connections and career opportunities and also benefited employers and the broader Saint John community by offering early access to high-performing graduate talent equipped with solid professional experience and rigorous academic training.

“Seeing our top graduate students connecting with prominent employers and community leaders from across New Brunswick, exchanging ideas, sharing business cards, and building new friendships, was incredibly rewarding,” said Dr. David Iremadze, Dean of Graduate Studies at Crandall University. “This inaugural Dean’s Honour Roll Networking Mixer exceeded all our expectations. I am especially grateful to our outstanding Graduate Studies team—Ms. Pamela Kayabula (Project Manager), Donald Ibe, and Titilayo Akanbi—for their exceptional work and meticulous planning. My sincere thanks also go to the broader Crandall community for their encouragement and support, and to the Saint John community for embracing and championing this event. Together, we’re creating valuable connections that will enrich the future of our students, benefit local organizations, and positively impact our community.”
