Moncton – On Friday, three deserving Crandall faculty members were presented with awards for excellence in the areas of teaching, research, and service.
The Stephen and Ella Steeves Awards
The Stephen and Ella Steeves Awards are held annually to celebrate the contributions of faculty members to their fields, to their students, to their communities, and ultimately to the University’s mission of Transforming lives through quality university education firmly rooted in the Christian faith.
Each year, students, staff and fellow faculty members are able to nominate faculty members for awards. The Faculty Development Committee then selects recipients from among the nominees for the teaching and service award categories, and selecting the recipient of the award for excellence in research requires the aid of an external panel of scholars.
For the 2024-2025 academic year, awards for excellence in teaching were presented to Dr. Diandra Singh and Dr. Rachel Tupper, and Dr. Cathlene Hillier was presented with awards for excellence in service as well as excellence in research.
“Congratulations to this year’s award recipients,” said Dr. Jon Ohlhauser, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. “With more faculty members than ever before, and with them doing such great work in all three of these areas, it has become even more challenging to select recipients for these awards – it’s a really good problem to have!”
