Faculty of Business Awards Ethics Scholarship for 2025

Moncton – The Crandall University Faculty of Business Administration today announced the recipients of the Gord and Marlene (Steeves) Read Scholarships in Business Ethics to be Ryan Campbell of Apohaqui, NB, and Brayden Steeves of Lloydminster, AB.  The senior students, each with concentrations in Management and Marketing, distinguished themselves by exhibiting excellence in academic study and personal integrity, leading their professors to identify them as being among the Faculty’s top students.

The Gord and Marlene (Steeves) Read Scholarship was established in memory of prominent business leaders Stephen and Ella Steeves, and is awarded to students in the Bachelor of Business Administration program who demonstrate academic diligence and a keen interest in business ethics.  Recipients are recognized as being promising future graduates in terms of applying ethical standards based on a Christian worldview within their future career. Ryan and Brayden each received the sum of $2,000 as their scholarship award.

“Thank you so much to the donors for supporting us, and thank you to the professors who have encouraged me so much over these past four years,” Brayden stated. “They have helped me grow not only in my understanding of business, but also in seeing how God works in every aspect of life.” Ryan agreed, relating that “I am incredibly grateful to be awarded this scholarship, which will greatly support me in pursuing my education and achieving my goals. Thank you for your generosity and believing in my future!”

Robert MacDonald, the University’s Stephen S. Steeves Professor in Business, and member of the committee that made the award selection, commented, “Both of these young men have been a pleasure to teach over the past four years. Each has grown significantly in their understanding of the integration of faith and business, which is of course the bedrock upon which our degree program is built. We’re very proud of their achievement, and look forward to what God has for them in the future.”

The Crandall University Faculty of Business Administration offers degrees in Accounting, Economics and Finance, Management, Marketing, and General Business Administration.  The Faculty’s motto “Excellence.
