Moncton – The winter term is in full swing at Crandall University with new and returning students diving into courses and activities around the campuses.
New student orientations in Moncton and Sussex
This winter, orientation sessions kicked off at the Moncton Campus with the arrival of new international graduate students on January 3, 2025, and finishing up on the 6th and 7th. Orientation for new undergraduate students took place on the 7th as well, with classes beginning on the 8th and start-of-term activities already on the calendar. The following Monday, January 13, 2025, Winter Orientation took place for new students at Crandall’s Sussex Campus as well. These sessions introduce students to everything they need to know to settle in and make the most of their time at Crandall.
Connecting with the community
A regular part of the student experience is getting connected with the local community, both on and off campus. Community fairs help Students get acquainted with the various on-campus services and groups, as well as local organizations where they can find additional connections and supports.
Academic Chapel
Aside from the opportunity to see the bright colours of faculty members dressed in full regalia, Academic Chapel serves as an opportunity to reflect on the University’s mandate to integrate faith and higher education. This term Dr. Jon Ohlhauser, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, shared about the ongoing work to continually improve in this area for the betterment of the educational experience.
Athletics
In athletics news, Crandall’s basketball and volleyball seasons are in full swing this winter. Please visit the Chargers website for information on the teams and game schedules.
