Over $7,500 raised to support students facing food insecurity

MONCTON – Funds raised for Crandall’s 2023 Giving Tuesday campaign will augment student supports.

Food insecurity is an issue that more and more people are facing as grocery prices continue to rise. This also extends to students, who often have tight budgets in a world of increasing costs.

To help students facing such challenges, Crandall’s Student Life and Transformation team works to support them in a variety of ways. Thanks to the success of this fall’s Giving Tuesday campaign, those supports will receive a crucial boost, providing even more options for students who are struggling.

Thanks to the generosity of donors as well as proceeds from the Crandall Christmas Market, the total amount raised currently sits at $7,649.

“We know that students face food security challenges, and that can look different for each student’s situation,” said Dr. Dale Stairs, Vice President for Student Life and Transformation. “We work hard to connect each student with the right kind of support for their specific circumstances, and these additional funds will allow us to do even more. Thank you to everyone who has given to support students in need!”
