Crandall Welcomes New Professor

Crandall University is pleased to welcome Professor Fred Olayele as Associate Professor of Management in the Graduate Studies division. A seasoned global economist and public policy leader, Professor Olayele works at the intersection of economics, strategic management, and public policy. His expertise covers trade policy, innovation, FDI, urban policy, political economy, and inclusive development. He has published widely and shared best practices on these subjects.

Professor Olayele lectures internationally and writes on global development and related subjects. He has held academic positions and taught graduate and undergraduate courses across three Canadian universities. He has served as a visiting professor and guest speaker across universities and academic institutions abroad. Professor Olayele sits on various non-profit boards and supports many social causes.

“My role as a teacher, scholar, and mentor has always been about transforming management and policy education globally for positive societal impact. In an increasingly complex world, excellence in management education is largely about new knowledge creation and pedagogical techniques that prioritize developing passionate and resourceful leaders with a strong sense of purpose. I’m excited about the opportunity to provide high-quality training, mentoring, and impactful research at Crandall,” said Professor Olayele.

“Every semester we welcome a strongly competent group of students into our graduate management degree programs who deserve to be taught by faculty who are both knowledgeable and experienced in the various aspects impacting contemporary management situations,” said Dr. Jon Ohlhauser, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost. “Professor Fred Olayele is a tremendous addition to our full-time graduate faculty core in management and brings to the classroom a deep pool of both knowledge and experience in management. We know the student experience in these programs will be enriched through Professor Olayele’s teaching and research initiatives at Crandall University.”
