Crandall University is excited to announce the hiring of a Visiting Professor of Psychology, Dr. Rachel Tupper. Dr. Tupper earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa and her thesis was on the impact of military deployment on attachment and behavior problems in young children in a Canadian Forces Military sample.
In addition to her PhD, Dr. Tupper also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado State University, as well as a Diploma of Theology from Northeast Christian College. While studying, her research focuses were attachment, human development, and trauma.
Dr. Tupper has had a successful career as a Psychologist working in private practices throughout Ottawa, including Taylor Creek Psychological Services, and Centretown Psychological Services, as well as acting as a school Psychologist for the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. On top of this, Dr. Tupper has also acted as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ottawa, as well as taught several 6 week courses at the Ottawa School of the Bible.
“I was born and raised in Nova Scotia and I am happy to be returning to the Maritimes, but I am especially excited to be joining the Faculty of Psychology at Crandall University for the upcoming 2022-2023 term. I look forward to meeting the staff and students in the weeks and months ahead,” Dr. Tupper shared.
