Management Faculty Continues to Grow

Crandall University is excited to announce the hiring of Dr. Titi Olayele, Assistant Professor of Management. Dr. Olayele earned her PhD in Education from the University of Regina. Her doctoral research focused on how countries can revitalize their Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector to help create good paying jobs and foster social mobility. Dr. Olayele’s current research interests lie at the intersection of international development, higher education, and human resources development. She is passionate about creating a shared understanding of equitable practices in economic development and industry innovation efforts.

In addition to her PhD, Dr. Olayele also holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Regina and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Kinetics and Health Education from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

Dr. Olayele has had several years of experience in economic development, higher education, government, and non-profit administration. As Director of Planning and Administration with the Centre for Innovations in Regional Economic Development, she oversaw research and projects with a diverse network of stakeholders in the public, private, philanthropic, and academic sectors. Previously, she served as Board Chair with Amakon Women Empowerment, a Saskatchewan-based non-profit organization, and in 2021 was the recipient of the University of Regina’s Faculty of Education Associate Dean’s Graduate Student Thesis Award.

Dr. Olayele is moving to Moncton from New York and is married to a professor and global economist, they have two sons together. “As Nelson Mandela said, ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.’ So, I look forward to facilitating transformational learning experiences for my students,” shared Dr. Olayele. “Also, importantly, I am looking forward to working with my colleagues in Graduate Studies and across campus.”
