Moncton – On Monday, Stephen and Ella Steeves Awards were presented to deserving faculty members for excellence in the areas of teaching, service, and research.
An annual tradition, these awards celebrate the contributions of Crandall University faculty to their fields, to their students, to their communities, and ultimately to the university’s mission of Transforming lives through quality university education firmly rooted in the Christian faith.
Each year, nominations of deserving faculty members are collected in the fall from students, staff and fellow faculty members. Recipients are then selected by the Faculty Development Committee for each of the award categories.
For 2022, the award for teaching was presented to Jordan Schriver; the award for research was presented to Dr. Adam Stewart; and, the award for service was presented to Dr. Elissa Rodkey.
“Every year, we receive many worthy nominations,” said Dr. Jon Ohlhauser, Provost and Vice-President for Academic Affairs, “but we can only select one recipient for each award. We are pleased to be able to recognize our faculty members in this way, knowing that the decision is rarely easy.”
Congratulations to this year’s recipients – the passionate work of faculty like these three is truly appreciated!
