English at Crandall
Crandall’s literature-based English program provides students the opportunity to explore the richness of novels, poems, and plays–old and new–with a strong emphasis on clear and effective writing. Students will develop the reading, writing, and critical thinking skills essential for their professional careers as they work closely with their skilled professors in small class settings.
There are a variety of exciting courses to choose from in our English program, including specialized courses on authors such as Austen, Eliot, Tolkein, and C.S. Lewis, in addition to survey courses in Canadian and American literature, and contemporary literary criticism.
