Cross-Country runner receives All-Conference award

Victoria Dempster, a third year Crandall Sociology student, received an athletics award honoring her exceptional 2016 Cross-Country season. This 2016 All-Conference award recognizes outstanding athletes in their sport. Victoria had a very strong season, consistently finishing in the top 2 runners every race.

Holland College hosted this year’s 2016 ACAA Cross Country Running Championship in Brookvale, PEI, where Victoria finished second with a time of 21:36, just 18 seconds behind the first place runner from Mount Saint Vincent.

Victoria is a leader, an encouragement to others, and a committed runner. Her drive to improve every race was an inspiration to other athletes, which was clearly demonstrated throughout the season.

L-R: Victoria Dempster, All-Conference Recipient
L-R: Sheldon MacLeod, Assistant Vice-President (SESD) & Registrar, Faye Lutes, Assistant Athletic Director, Victoria and Jenna Cann, Coach.
