The best way to see all that Crandall University has to offer is to come for a campus tour. We can also customize a campus tour to your specific interests.
Architects Four was at Crandall University today to present a certificate and plaque from Green Globes Canada for the Stultz Hall project. Green Globes Canada is an environmental rating system recognized in both Canada and the US, and acknowledges building efforts that focus on environmental sustainability and institutional stewardship within the community.
Architects Four and its directors have completed a number of green projects over its 40 year history, with many recent projects achieving either a LEED or Green Globes Canada performance rating. As Andrew McGillivary, an Architects Four architect, explains, “Crandall University joins the ranks of UBC, Carlton University, Mount Allison University, Queens University, Brescia University College, and Royal Military College in certifying the building projects under the Green Globes Canada system and appears to be the first university project completed in v.2”.
Stultz Hall opened in 2010 and is a welcomed addition to the Crandall Campus. Featuring nine classrooms, a Bookstore, a Café, a Student Centre, open common space and meeting rooms, and the Crandall Welcome Centre, Stultz Hall has significantly enhanced the Crandall student experience. “Crandall University has had a long standing commitment to sustainability. The built environment is a very significant component of this and Architects Four have been instrumental in ensuring that our entire building portfolio reflects this philosophy. We are pleased that Architects Four has been successful in achieving a 3 Globe rating under the new Green Globes NC v.2 for our Stultz Hall Building”, explains Greg Cook, the building committee chair, “By using this tool the university has been able to achieve significant energy savings, reduce environmental impacts, and lower maintenance costs”.
