Crandall Chargers Qualify for CCAA Nationals March 13-15

Crandall Chargers men’s basketball team has qualified for the 2014 CCAA Nationals, hosted by Quest University in Squamish, BC.

The men fly out Tuesday, March 11, and will take on Red Deer College on Thursday March 13.  Watch all the games live, or archived through the link below.

Here is the link where people can watch the games live – it’s a 4 hour difference so you 8:30pm game will be at 12:30 Moncton time.

5  Holland Hurricanes  ACAA  Champion  Charlottetown, PEI
6  Crandall Chargers  ACAA  Wildcard  Moncton, NB
7  Quest Kermodes  PACWEST  Host  Squamish, BC
8  Concordia Thunder  ACAC  Wildcard  Edmonton, AB

The CCAA Championship Awards Banquet will precede the competition on Wednesday, March 12, honouring the 2014 CCAA Men’s Basketball All-Canadians, Coach of the Year and Player of the Year. The competition will begin Thursday, March 13 and runs through Saturday, March 15.

The schedule is as follows (all times PT):

Thursday March 13
Game # 1             1:00pm –  Vanier Cheetahs vs Holland Hurricanes
Game # 2             3:00pm –  Langara Falcons vs Concordia Thunder
Game # 3             6:30pm –  Sheridan Bruins vs Quest Kermodes
Game # 4             8:30pm –  Red Deer Kings vs Crandall Chargers

Friday March 14
Game # 5             1:00pm – Losers of game 1 & 2
Game # 6             3:00pm – Losers of game 3 & 4
Game # 7             6:30pm – Winners of game 1 & 2 (semi-final)
Game # 8             8:30pm – Winners of game 3 & 4 (semi-final)

Saturday March 15
Game # 9            10:00am – Losers of game 7 & Winners of game 6
Game # 10          12:00pm – Losers of game 8 vs. Winners of game 5
Game # 11          2:00pm – Losers of game 5 & 6 (7th/8th place)
Game # 12          6:30pm – Winners of game 9 & 10 (Bronze Medal)
Game # 13          8:30pm – Winners of game 7 & 8 (Gold Medal)

The closing ceremony and awards presentation will take place immediately following the gold medal match.
