Chargers ranked 7th in the CCAA

CHARGERS AT 5-1 ARE 1st IN THE ACAA AND RANKED 7th IN THE CCAA

The Crandall Chargers and Holland Hurricanes, the top two teams in the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association men’s basketball conference, split a pair of weekend games.

Crandall scored an amazing 30 points in the fourth quarter to rally for an 80-72 win over Holland College in Crandall’s home court on Sunday, November, 24th.

The Chargers trailed at halftime 31-39, and again were down 60-50 after 3 quarters, but the stifling defense, created potent offense. Achuil Lual poured in 21 points and Osman Barrie and Nathaneal Fells each added 12 for Crandall.

On Saturday, November, 23rd the Chargers traveled to PEI to battle the Hurricanes, who came from behind in the 4th quarter – narrowly edging the Chargers 83-82. The one point loss is Crandall’s only loss of the season so far. Nathaneal Fells led the way with 27 points, Sherif Bah helped out with 11 and Barrie had 10.

The Chargers play two more games before the end of the semester, Wednesday November, 27th they travel to Saint John to battle the 2-2 Seawolves. Women at 6pm, Men at 8pm, make sure to catch the games live on www.acaatv.ca

The Final home game of this semester will take place in Moncton as the 3-3 STU Tommies come to visit the Chargers Court. Saturday November, 30th – Women tipoff at 2pm, Men at 4pm.
