Australian Educators Visit New Brunswick and Crandall University

The week of October 7 will see 7 educators from Melbourne, Australia visiting New Brunswick and working with the Education Faculty at Crandall University.  The visitors are from Manor Lakes College, a P – 12 College in the western suburbs of Melbourne. The school is located in a growth corridor in the Melbourne area. It has a student population of ~ 1600 – 1800 students. The visitors are here in New Brunswick to consider “Inclusion” New Brunswick style.

Manor Lakes has received funding from their government to explore Inclusion.  Manor Lakes College and Crandall have developed a connection over the past 5 years with Crandall education students completing a portion of their Internship at the college in July and August of each year.

The visitors will be meeting with the New Brunswick Department of Education and Early Childhood Development while here in New Brunswick as well as visiting various schools in the Moncton area.

Our Aussie friends will also participate in a professional development session with respect to Inclusion which is occurring province wide during this week.
