MONCTON, NB – Crandall University is proud and excited to announce that Mr. Bryan Cawthra has been appointed as the University’s Athletics Director.
Mr. Cawthra has an ACCESS Diploma from Ambrose University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (Sports Ministry) from Briercrest Bible College. He has served as the Convener for Adult Soccer for Reach Forth Sports Ministry, and he has coached Soccer teams for Redeemer University, Briercrest Bible College, and Ambrose University. He is also the owner of SoccerTots (Niagara Region), a franchised child physical development program. He has hosted a number of sports camps and clinics, and he has worked at the Athletes in Action Head Office.

The response on campus has already been extremely positive from staff, faculty, and, most importantly, students and athletes. People sense that Bryan is ready to provide the long term growth and vision that is needed. Mr. Cawthra brings over 15 years of athletic experience as a player, team captain, referee, and coach. To this experience he adds exceptional community engagement, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a missional attitude. The University believes he will be a long term builder and visionary who will lead Charger Athletics to the next level. “I am entering the Crandall University athletics program with a philosophy to create a positive, competitive environment where the student-athletes will enjoy the challenge of striving to reach beyond their potential,” states Cawthra. “Valuing excellence, teamwork and character, my positive and determined goal in mind is to build Crandall University Athletics Programs into a competitive force in Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association and the CCAA.
